Powerful line work sits side-by-side with a strong stance on social issues in the work of Cat Sims, making her one to watch on the UK’s illustration scene.

As a freelance illustrator for over ten years‚ Cat’s selected clients include: Jacobin, Tribune, V&A, Barbican, Advertising Age, Sisters Uncut and STRIKE! Magazine.

Cat’s work has been exhibited at Somerset House, Peckham Pelican, South London Comic and Zine Fair, and her latest comic XENOS won Broken Frontier’s ‘Comic of the Festival’ at ELCAF, 2018.

The Deceptive Gift

This was a collaborative project between performance artist Amelia Beavis-Harrison and myself for 100 Masters, commissioned by Creative Black Country.
The comic’s storyline celebrates five incredible women from Wolverhampton - including the first woman to draw for the Beano (Laura Howell) and the first ever B-Girl (Hanifa McQueen-Hudson).

Printed in Birmingham by Joseph Lilley (from Wolverhampton) at The Holodeck.
